Netherlands — Revenues in industrial temporary employment up by +30%

The latest Market Development Report (Marktontwikkelingen) published today by the Association of Temporary Employers (ABU) shows that during the period between weeks 17 and 20 of this year, the number of hours worked by temporary employees was up by +9% compared to the same period of last year.

During the same period, revenues generated by temporary employment agencies was up by +8%. The period had two working days less than the same period last year, which is why growth was higher than the figures suggest.


In the medical sector the number of hours worked by temporary employees was up by +2%. Revenues generated by temporary employment agencies, in the sector, were equally up by +2%.

In the administrative sector the number of hours worked by temporary employees was up by +8%. Revenues generated by temporary employment agencies, in the sector, were up by +9%.

In the industrial sector the number of hours worked by temporary employees was up by +26%. Revenues generated by temporary employment agencies, in the sector, were up by +30%.

In the engineering sector the number of hours worked by temporary employees was up by +6%. Revenues generated by temporary employment agencies, in the sector, were equally up by +6%.
