At Randstad’s Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders today, all resolutions on the agenda were adopted. The firm also confirmed that François Béharel was appointed as member of the executive board for a first four-year term.
Mr Béharel will be responsible for France, Spain, Portugal and Latin America. He first joined VediorBis as a regional Director in 1999 and, following the merger of Randstad with Dutch recruiter Vedior, he later became CEO of the new combined Randstad Group France in 2009.
At the meeting today, shareholders also approved the proposal to issue preference shares C with the firm issuing 50.1 million of such shares to a group of investors who committed to invest €140 million. This is part of the firm’s refinance programme. The firm also got permission to repurchase shares up to a maximum of 3% of the issued share capital of ordinary shares.
