One of the largest staffing firms in the Netherlands, Olympia, is looking for a new managing director after current head of the firm has decided to leave his post in early May. Jelle Bultsma will take on a new position as managing director of TPS Group, a company specialising in recruitment solutions.
Olympia’s supervisory board is now looking for a replacement with board member Job van der Have taking over some of the main responsibilities on a temporary basis.
Alette Ducro, chairman of the board, said: “Since 2009, Olympia has been successfully led by Jelle Bultsma, strengthening its market position. We regret that Jelle is going to leave Olympia. For the future we are looking for an entrepreneurial leader who believes in our franchise concept and the commercial opportunities in the labour market.”
Olympia has offices across the Netherlands where it operates through franchises. But the firm last month came under criticism after local media reported that 47 out of the 52 franchises affiliated with the recruiter were considering taking legal action against management.
The firm was accused of a lack of transparency as entrepreneurs running some of the franchises considered taking legal action against management. They complained about high costs they had to pay to the company over a number of years.
