The number of worked hours decreased by -4% and turnover declined by -3% in period 9 (week 33 - 36) in comparison with the same period last year, according to the Federation of Private Employment Agencies (Algemene Bond Uitzendondernemingen, ABU). This period had an equal amount of workable days compared to the same period last year, so no correction was applied.
- For the medical sector the amount of hours worked dropped by -19% and turnover decreased by -15%.
- The administrative sector (clerical/admin) fell by -2% in hours; turnover dropped slightly by -1%.
- Hours in the industrial sector decreased by -5% and turnover by -4%.
- Ultimately, the amount of worked hours in the technical sector decreased by -4% compared to the same period last year, turnover fell by -5%.
The figures are in line with our revised forecast for the county which predicts growth of -5% for the year overall. The report which covers all Western European countries is available to members only.
