Japan – Careerlink forecast increase revenue

Careerlink Co Ltd (6070:TYO) the Tokyo headquartered staffing firm reported sales of 14,260 million yen (€127m) for the nine months from 1st March 2012. Operating Income was 890 million yen (€ 7.9m), Recurring or ordinary income 847 million yen (€ 7.5m) and net income 490 million yen (€ 4.4m). Comparables for the previous year are not currently available.

The company is forecasting net sales up+6.7% to 16,406 million yen (€146.2m)  for the year to 28th February 2013. Operating income is forecast to increase +18.5% to 711 million yen (€6.3m), recurring or ordinary income by +14.8% to 652 million yen (€5.8m) and net income by+29.7% to 367 million yen (€3.3m).

Careerlink Co., Ltd. is principally engaged in the provision of staffing business.  On 1st December  2012,  the company had  278 staff. It is a prior subsidiary of Shinki Co. Ltd and has four main business streams: business process outsourcing (BPO), customer relationship management (CRM), general office business, and manufacturing technique related business. 

  • The BPO related business provides incentive contracts to improve operational efficiency, as well as the planning, design and implementation of business processes of government, local public entities and businesses. 
  • The CRM related business consists of staffing and recruitment in telemarketing sector. 
  • The general office business consists of staffing and recruitment related to general clerical work, such as personnel, general affairs and accounting, slip aggregate, and other desk work. 
  • The Manufacturing business is engaged in staffing and recruitment related to manufacturing and logistics.

On Thursday, Careerlink share price closed at 620.00 yen, -3.1% down on the day but +4.7% above its post-IPO low of 592.00, set on 6th December, 2012.
