Cristiano Ianna, the new Managing Director of staffing firm Metis spa, wants to turn the firm into a '360-degrees Human Resources partner'.
40 year old Ianna told Italian daily il Sole 24 Ore "the Metis brand will concentrate on search and selection, outplacement and staff leasing. The Seltis brand will concentrate on head-hunting, the Formetis brand on professional training, the Partis brand on outsourcing and the Gestis brand on administrative services."
Ianna said "last year we turned over 230 million Euro compared to 300 million Euro in 2008. This year, we hope to grow by +5% when the whole Italian staffing industry is expected to grow by only +1%."
"In the first three months of this year we have grown by +8%. We cannot yet talk about an up-turn in the economy but there are signs that the market is waking up. We are very strong in distribution, finance, banking and insurance and we have felt the recession less than other staffing firms, which are more concentrated on manufacturing."
