Page Personnel Italy, the subsidiary of staffing group Michael Page, has carried out an exclusive piece of research for Italian daily L'Espresso on the industry sectors which are most likely to offer jobs for young Italians in the future.
Francesca Contardi, General Manager of Page Personnel in Italy, said "the first industry sector [to provide job opportunities for the young] is very clearly clean and alternative energies. The second is the health service, not just the medical side but also the medical equipment and analysis side of things such as software and any type of equipment from acoustics-based screening devices to insulin dispensers for diabetics."
"The third sector, in fact, goes across sectors. Sales and marketing are still very important. A good salesman is worth his weight in gold. Unfortunately universities do not teach you this skill. The people who succeed in sales and marketing are those who can sell anything, change their jobs often and act as catalysts of continuous change."
