Staffing Industry Analysts today announced the 2012 list of largest 50 staffing firms in Germany. Randstad topped the list with €1.842 billion in revenue and 6.92% market share while Adecco ranked second with €1.556 billion in revenue.
Staffing Industry Analysts estimates the German staffing market to be worth approximately €19.6 billion with a 5% market decline and 1% fall in revenue for the top 50 over the prior year. This follows a very positive year in 2011 that saw the Top 50 collectively growing by +21% while the German market increased by +17%. A total of 24 staffing companies had 2012 annual revenues in excess of €100 million.
“The staffing industry was not insulated from the slowdown in the German economy with demand for staff declining throughout 2012,” said Matt Norton, Research Analyst, Staffing Industry Analysts. “Nevertheless, staffing firms specialising in the energy, metal, electrical and automobile industry have found significant shortages in the supply of skilled workers.”
