Germany’s federal employment agency has partnered with professional networking site XING, a competitor of LinkedIn, with the agreement set to increase opportunities for employers when they are looking to hire new staff.
Employers who use XING to advertise vacancies will now have the opportunity to place their jobs ads on the job site of the federal agency. The service is free and the aim is to increase the level of contact between jobseekers and employers.
“With this cooperation, companies can extend the reach of their job vacancies and significantly increase their chances of filling vacancies,” said Raimund Becker who sits at the executive board at the agency.
XING said that the agreement will strengthen its social recruiting platform.
The federal agency is also looking into using XING for general recruitment purposes to find candidates. The project is currently in a trial phase.
XING has seen a surge in members and is regarded as the market leader in German speaking countries. The firm has experienced continued growth and saw revenue rise by +11% in the third quarter of the year.
