After an official public tender the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has awarded contracts to provide temporary workers to replace staff absent because of maternity leave, sickness leave and to cope with peak periods, which require additional workforce.
The contracts have been awarded to staffing agencies Bishop GmbH in Hamburg and Manpower GmbH & Co KG in Frankfurt. Temporary tasks will also include work, which requires specific competences not available within EASA. The overall contract value is 6 million Euro spread over four years.
The award criteria were the most economically advantageous tender in terms of responding to EASA's needs in terms of quality, quantity and timing. Seven offers were received in total.
