HRM Expo, Europe's largest HR exhibition, will take place over three days from 22 to 24 September 2009 in Cologne. A large number of the presentations will be in English.
Among the experts speaking at the exhibition are Dr. Laurenz Andrzejewski who will point out the obstacles companies face in downsizing. Jochen Robes, author of the 'Weiterbildungs blog', will address current developments in knowledge management. Prominent HR personalities will have the floor — for example Wolfgang Goebel, board member responsible for HR at McDonald’s Germany.
For the first time, HR managers will have the opportunity to find out how they can boost their own careers: on the third exhibition day, HRM Expo together with the Haufe Media Group presents the topic “HR Career in speeches, panel discussions and an award ceremony for junior HR professionals.
As part of the exposition, the German Congress for Educational Evaluation will take place on 22 and 23 September. The new symposium “The future is feminine will shed light on different success factors for women in business.
The exhibition again features top-class keynote speakers who will share their ideas with the attendees. Richard Lewis, one of Britain’s best-known experts on cross-cultural communication, will be one of them as well as Prof. Dr. Holger Rust, Professor of Sociology and Social Psychology at the University of Hanover, a critic of futurology. They are joined by Nancy Adler, Professor of Organisational Behaviour and International Management at the Faculty of Management of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, by the professional speaker, author and management consultant Roger Harrop (UK) and the trend scout and ‘infotainer’ Adjiedj Bakas (NL).
The 'Deutscher Personalwirtschaftspreis' award will be presented by Thomas Sattelberger, Chief Human Resources Officer at Deutsche Telekom, and the former German Federal Minister of Economics and Labour, Wolfgang Clement.
