Germany – Amadeus FiRe CEO to stay another 5 years

29 April 2013

Publicly-listed staffing firm Amadeus FiRe (AAD:GER) has decided to appoint Peter Haas as CEO of the firm and renew his contract for another five years. The contract was signed on Friday, 26 April.

Peter Haas became CFO of the Frankfurt-based recruiter in 1999 and has been the CEO of the company since 2009.

“I am very delighted to sign Peter Haas for five more years as Amadeus FiRe CEO and I am looking forward to continue the successful cooperation,” said Chairman Christoph Groß.

Amadeus FiRe is among the top 20 of staffing firms in Germany. The firm provides specialist staffing services for business professionals and executives into banking, accounting, IT and office sectors.

Last week, the company reported a -0.7% fall in first-quarter revenue as sales in the temporary staffing business suffered and contracted by -4%. High levels of sickness absence among temporary staff in the quarter also impacted trading, the firm said. Revenue in the first three months of the year totalled €33.06 million, down from €33.31 million in the prior year.  But in 2012, the firm reported revenues of €137.0 million, up +5% from 2011.
