The latest labour market estimates published by the National Institute for Statistics and Economic Research (Insee), reveal that the number of temporary employees was up by +6.7% or +33,200 workers to 526,700 in the first quarter of 2010 when compared to the previous quarter.
Year-on-year, temporary employment was up by +20.1% when compared to the Q1 2009.
After four quarters of strong negative growth in temporary employment between Q2 2008 and Q1 2009, the market started to stabilise in Q2 2009 and was followed by modest growth in Q3 2009.
