Temporary agency workers in some areas of France will be eligible for a career-coaching scheme managed by Pôle emploi, the French public employment services.
The scheme (contrat de sécurisation professionnel, CSP) was first launched in July 2011 and initially aimed at workers finishing a fixed-term contract. Temporary work agencies are involved and provide expert knowledge on local job markets to CSP entrants.
The experimental phase of the CSP scheme is aimed at temporary agency workers registering with Pôle emploi at the end of an assignment and, in case of a lack of assignment opportunities in their area. The experimental phase has been extended in April to temporary agency workers in 13 additional areas, bringing the total number to 28.
The Fund for the Training of Temporary Workers (Fond d’Aide à la Formation des Travailleurs Temporaires, FAF.TT), provides further information for temporary agency workers. To access the dedicated site in French, click here.
