Finland — Regular earnings increased by +2.7% in April-June

According to preliminary data from Statistics Finland (Tilastokeskus), wage and salary earners' regular earnings rose by +2.7% in April-June 2010 when compared with the respective period in 2009.

According to final data and compared with the year before, the average increase in the regular earnings during 2009 was +4.3% and the increase in real regular earnings was also +4.3%.


During the year 2009 the regular earnings of wage and salary earners rose in the central government sector by +5.2%, in the private sector by +4.4% and in the local government sector by +3.5% from the year earlier.

Regular earnings exclude performance-based bonuses and one-off payments.
