The European Confederation of Private Employment Agencies (Eurociett) has named the current President of the Spanish Association of Large Temporary Employment Agencies (Agett) as Vice-President of Eurociett in order to push temporary employment reforms in Spain.
The new Vice-President, Francisco Aranda, said "the restrictions on temporary employment in Spain are considerably higher than in the rest of the European Union and they are not justified."
Aranda demands that Spanish temporary employment agencies be transformed into general staffing agencies in order to be able to operate in all areas of the employment market, something which is already the case in many other European Union countries.
