Scandinavian online job board Jobindex A/S (JOBNDX:CPH) today reported a +6% increase in sales which totalled €4.1 million (DKK 30.7 million) in the fourth quarter 2012. The firm warned of a weak job market despite a slight increase in internet job advertisements.
Operating profit in the three months to December rose +14% to €0.9 million (DKK 6.5 million) from around €0.8 million (DKK 5.7 million) a year ago.
The firm said that job ads had increased sharply in the public sector where the firm has a large market share. The firm also launched a new app which helped drive traffic to the site and which already boasts 25,000 users.
The company said that revenue in the quarter mainly rose because of its recruitment services, which it aims to develop in the coming year. The firm also expects the labour market to pick up in 2013 which should positively impact its job ads business.
Jobindex operates under the brand Jobsafari in a number of countries, including Scandinavia, Germany, France, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Spain.
