Jobindex, the Scandinavian internet job board, today reports that net sales increased by +4% to €3.5 million (DKK 26.4 million) in the third quarter from €23.4 million (DKK to 25.3 million) year ago. Despite higher revenue, the company warned of a weak labour market with economic indicators pointing downwards.
The number of job ads remained flat in the quarter and the firm expects the challenging environment to continue into the next year. “Because of the weak job market and the negative outlook for 2013, we believe it is the wrong time to try to invest in growing,” Jobindex said in its financial statement.
The firm has not implemented all of its growth strategies in the three months to September but expects full-year revenue to reach around €14.7 million (DKK 110 million). Profit before interest and tax increased by +8% to €1.1 million (DKK 8.2 million) in the quarter.
Jobindex operates under the brand Jobsafari in a number of countries, including Scandinavia, Germany, France, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Spain.
