51job Inc. has appointed Kazumasa Watanabe to the company's board of directors, following the departure of resigning director Hisayuki Idekoba, the firm announced yesterday.
Mr Watanabe is a senior executive in the global headquarters of Recruit Holdings, one of the world’s largest recruitment agencies and the parent company of 51job.
Since joining Recruit in 1991, Mr. Watanabe has been involved in the growth and expansion of Recruit's HR company and the online recruiting business. He has held many senior positions and was also responsible for new product and business development.
51job is a provider of HR services in China with a strong focus on recruitment services. The company offers online recruitment services on the www.51.job.com website which claims to be the leading job board in China. The company also offers business process outsourcing, training, executive search and compensation and benefits analysis. In 2011, the firm made revenues of RMB 1.37 billion (approximately €155 million).
