As reported by the Central Service for the Prevention of Accidents in Temporary Employment (Prevention & Interim)* the number of accidents at work in the temporary employment sector has fallen by -16% in 2009 when compared to 2008.
During the same, period the average level of seriousness of accidents fell by -14%. Compared to the year 2000 the number of accidents was down by -48% and the level of seriousness was down by -44%.
Accidents at work are five times more likely and six times more serious among blue collar temporary workers than among white collar temporary workers.
As in 2008, there were four lethal accidents in the temporary employment sector in 2009.
