The latest temporary employment statistics published by the Federation of Human Resources Agencies (Federgon) reveal that overall temporary employment in October 2009 was up by 1% compared to September 2009.
Among blue collar workers the number of hours worked by temporary employees grew by 1.4% in October when compared to the previous month. The number of hours worked by white collar workers was up by 0.51%.
On a year-by-year basis temporary employment in Belgium was down by -18.58% in October 2009 when compared to the same period last year. Hours worked by blue collar workers were down by -21.07% during this period whilst hours worked by white collar workers were down by -14.73%.
