The St. Petersburg Times writes today that growth remains sluggish in the recruitment market despite a traditional peak in vacancies seen during the autumn months.
“At the beginning of 2012, the job market started to grow again and this trend is continuing,” said Alexander Yegorov, division director at the northwest branch of Ancor, one of the largest recruiters in the country.
“Compared with the pre-crisis years, however, this growth cannot be regarded as significant, and growth rates are more modest.”
However, demand remained high in specialist professions within manufacturing, engineering, banking and retail. Those with one to three years of experience are most sought after.
