In India, online games are becoming a recruitment tool with large corporations such as L’Oreal asking job candidates to play a game if they want to be considered for a role, the Times of India writes.
This is particularly targeted at graduates keen to enter the labour market.
Aditya Narayan Mishra, president at Randstad India, said that gaming as a tool for recruitment is growing in popularity in India, after having been longer established in the Western part of the globe.
“Technology companies typically use games to test strategy, intuitiveness, logical reasoning, personality identification and problem-solving capacity of the candidates. Defence organizations create real-world scenarios in the form of games as part of the recruitment process,” he said.
