The chances of finding employment after having worked as a temporary agency worker in Brazil improve drastically, as figures by the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies (Ciett) show.
Brazilian news provider Globo.com writes that people who have worked as agency staff increase their chances of finding a job afterwards by +60%.
A study by Ciett looked at employment prospects of unemployed people first entering the labour market though agency work.
“The findings confirm that temporary work acts as a professional steppingstone, first leading from unemployment to employment, and then from temporary [work to permanent work],” said Vander Morales, president of the main corporate union for temporary work and outsourcing companies (Sindeprestem) in the country.
