Private employment agencies help organisations and workers adjust to seasonal fluctuations in the economy as the sector offers “innovative” and “reliable” solutions to manage demand of staff, a joint study by CIETT (International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies) and Boston Consulting Group found.
The study argues that seasonal fluctuations are less predictable when the economy is experiencing its highs and lows, and private employment agencies are seen as a solution to cope with the demand of staff that occurs in these cyclical periods.
The study says that structural changes on the labour market brings with it a whole range of challenges such as high unemployment rates amongst young people. But employment agencies are well-placed to allow for these structural changes and help manage a market that is becoming more complex, volatile and unpredictable, the study argues.
