Seasonal hiring is benefitting the Brazilian staffing market with an additional 155,000 vacancies to be created in the run-up to the festive season. This is a +5.5% increase from a year ago, according to the Brazilian Association of Temporary Employers (ASSERTTEM ).
The rise in temporary vacancies is due to more economic stability in the region, the organisation said. São Paulo will see the largest intake of temporary vacancies, making up around 30% of the nation’s temporary vacancies.
Temporary workers are in much demand in sectors such as trade and retail with young people expected to benefit most from such job opportunities.
