Staffing Industry Analysts Announces Case Study Finalists for Contingent Workforce Strategies Summit

Mountain View, Calif. – August 14, 2012 - Staffing Industry Analysts, the leading global advisor on contingent work, announced the finalists in the 2012 Case Study Competition being held at the Contingent Workforce Strategies (CWS) Summit, September 20–21, 2012 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel in San Diego, CA. The case study finalists were selected on innovation, difficulty, scale of change/result and overall program thought leadership.

The six finalists are Eli Lilly, Freescale Semiconductor, K12, Novartis, Qualcomm and United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS).

In keeping with this year’s theme of “Collaborative Intelligence,” the case study competition provides opportunities for leading suppliers and buyers to better elevate and educate the market on cutting edge contingent workforce trends and ideas. The competition showcases unique programs and solutions and gives companies the opportunity to share what makes their programs stand out and ideally how other companies can learn from them to improve their own programs.

Now in its eighth year, CWS Summit is the only event geared towards corporate buyers of contingent labor. Co-located with CW Risk Forum, CWS Summit is targeted to anyone in human resources, procurement, IT or category management wanting to regain and maintain an enduring contingent workforce strategy.

Finalists will present their case studies during the keynote session on Thursday, September 20th and attendees will vote for the winner. The winner will be announced at the conference’s closing session on Friday, September 21st. The participant with the highest score will win a one-year North American Single Seat membership for Staffing Industry Analysts’ CWS Council and a trophy.

“We received quite a few entries from companies doing remarkable things in taking their contingent program to the next level,” said Bryan Peña, Staffing Industry Analysts’ vice president of contingent workforce strategies and research. “Our entire team was impressed with the quality of the submissions. It was exciting to analyze the wide range of submitted solutions and see first-hand how the practice of contingent workforce management is evolving.”
