ZRG buys Switzerland-based search firm Pyramid

December 10, 2015

Executive search firm ZRG Partners Inc. agreed to acquire certain assets of Pyramid International, a 10-year-old executive search firm located in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The transaction is scheduled to close Jan. 2; terms were not disclosed.

The Pyramid International brand will transition to ZRG Partners in the first 90 days, and CEO AJ Ravenhorst will join ZRG Partners as a managing director and a member of the firm’s global life science practice.

The transaction includes certain assets of the business relating to customer lists, open searches and goodwill in the business. The move is designed to strengthen ZRG Partners’ expertise in the medical technology sector.

“AJ adds a great dimension to our European team,” Adam El Din, ZRG’s head of global life sciences, said. “The experience of Pyramid International through Europe provides further depth to support the growing needs of multinational medical technology firms. We are seeing a growing trend where solid boutique firms doing good search work are finding the advantages of aligning with ZRG Partners. We look forward to continuing to grow this area of our life science practice with the addition of the Pyramid team.”

ZRG’s global headquarters is in Rochelle Park, N.J.
