Workforce50.com, a career website targeting mid- to late career unemployed or transitioning workers, has been acquired by Sudbury, Mass.-based Prancing Dog Publications LLC (PDP), a startup venture launched by Nancy Peterson, publisher.  NHC Group, Inc., a technology company that manages career websites, launched Workforce50.com in 2007; Peterson was one of the founders of NHC Group, a lead developer of Workforce50.com, and editor until September 2012.

The deal closed Jan. 10 and terms were not disclosed.

PDP plans to develop and grow web publications that serve niche user and readership groups. It will further develop its two career websites, Workforce50.com and WaterJobsNOW.com.
