Willis Group, a Houston-based staffing provider, appointed Chris Garner as chief information officer and executive VP of shared services for Willis Group of Companies, Matt Eckert as executive VP of sales and Michelle Wren as executive VP of delivery. Both Eckert and Wren previously served in positions at ManpowerGroup Inc. (NYSE: MAN).

Garner will be responsible for IT, human resources and accounting shared services. Prior to joining Willis Group, he held senior positions including VP of product development for Campus Management; senior VP for GT Software; senior VP engineering and IT for NEON; and VP of research and development for Altra Energy. Garner was also the founder and CEO of Succinct Software, a staffing and software vendor.

Eckert will be responsible for all lines of business covering the Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Chicago markets. Prior to joining Willis Group, Eckert was principal at UHY Advisors leading their Resource Solutions Practice focused on talent management in technology, finance, accounting and internal audit. He previously was managing director in the Experis unit of ManpowerGroup, responsible for managing technology sales, delivery and operations in the Houston Market.

Wren will be responsible for strategic performance optimization and recruiter productivity. She has more than 18 years of experience in the staffing industry in the IT, finance and accounting, and engineering verticals. Wren spent 16 years with ManpowerGroup’s Experis unit.
