Willis Group Buys IT Staffing Firm

January 11, 2013

The Willis Group acquired The OCJ Group, an information technology staffing firm based in Woodland Hills, Calif. The acquisition took place last month, and terms of the transaction were not announced.

The deal was made by Genuent, an IT staffing subsidiary of the Willis Group.

Genuent will keep the OCJ brand. In addition, OCJ founder and Managing Director Mark Brenner will remain with the company.

“We were researching companies for acquisition, and they had a great company background and a good market that we wanted to get into,” said Kate Ribe, marketing operations manager for Genuent.

Both Willis Group and The OCJ Group rank on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of fastest-growing staffing firms. Willis Group ranks No. 11 while OCJ ranks No. 30.

“The acquisition of The OCJ Group continues Willis Group’s tradition of strategic growth within the IT talent acquisition space,” said Mike Willis, chairman of Willis Group. “We are confident that The OCJ Group will add to the high level of service and value that our clients have come to expect through our Genuent brand.”
