Wanted: U.S. added 5,000 jobs in February

March 02, 2010

Wanted Technologies forecasts the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will announce a gain of 5,000 non-farm jobs when it reports February 2010 job numbers on Friday. It would be the second monthly gain since the recession started in December 2007, according to Wanted.

The company said its hiring demand indicators show a steady increase in new job ads.

In January, total nonfarm payroll in the U.S. fell by 20,000 jobs.

Data from Wanted is used by The Conference Board to create its measure of online help-wanted ads.
