Volt Information Sciences Inc. (NYSE MKT: VISI) sold its Uruguayan publishing and printing subsidiaries — Volt Directories S.A. Ltd. and Tainol S.A. — to affiliates of FCR Media Group, a local search provider in 11 European countries that provides expertise in online and off-line advertising. The divesture allows the New York-based provider of IT and engineering staffing to focus on its staffing business.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The sales follows the divestiture in January 2014 of the company’s ProcureStaff Technologies Ltd. VMS division to IQNavigator and December’s sale of Volt’s computer systems segment to New Net Communication Technologies LLC.

“Similar to the sales of our computer systems and vendor management software businesses, these divestitures enable us to better focus our attention and resources on opportunities within our world-class core staffing business where we believe we are better positioned to add value,” said Chairman and Interim CEO Michael Dean.

Volt ranks as the 12th-largest US staffing firm and the 8th largest IT staffing firm.
