Vedior buys B2B Workforce

Vedior NV signed a deal to buy B2B Workforce Inc. of Alpharettta GA. B2B provides personnel and consulting services for enterprise software applications including SAP and Oracle in both the private and public sectors. It had revenue of $79.0 million in 2006.

Vedior said the acquisition will complement its Sapphire information technology staffing brand, offering its clients a wider range of services in staffing and project management. Vedior reported worldwide information technology staffing revenue in 2006 of euro768.0 million (US$1.01 billion).

"B2B has a very strong reputation and a blue chip client portfolio within a highly specialized discipline," said CEO Tex Gunning. "It provides a useful complement to our existing portfolio of business."

The transaction is subject to clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
