VMS provider PeopleFluent names chairman

November 17, 2014

PeopleFluent, the Waltham, Mass.-based provider of the PeopleFluent vendor management system, appointed Jon Salon as chairman of the board. He replaces Charles Jones, who remains a director.

Jones was CEO of the company until October 2013. He was then replaced by Jeff Carr. This freed Jones up to focus on his role as the managing partner of Bedford Funding, the private equity fund that owns PeopleFluent.

In the last few months, PeopleFluent also appointed Juan Albelo as senior vice president of sales and Courtney Harkins as chief customer officer.

Salon, a PeopleFluent board member since 2010, is a managing director at Bedford Funding. He worked on all the acquisitions of PeopleFluent’s core businesses and has been one of the key team members to help execute PeopleFluent’s acquisition, integration and business partnership strategies. Salon has more than 20 years in the software market and has worked as an investor and as an operating executive in both large international public companies and emerging growth businesses.
