US - Report lists top public staffing execs’ compensation

A new report by Staffing Industry Analysts lists the 2012 compensation of the two most-highly paid executives at each of 25 public staffing firms. Of the lot, the most highly compensated executive was Jeffrey A. Joerres of ManpowerGroup Inc. (NYSE: MAN).

The three most highly compensated executives included:

  • Joerres, with $8.77 million in total compensation in 2012.
  • Harold “Max” Messmer Jr., chairman and CEO of Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE: RHI), with $8.59 million in total compensation in 2012.
  • M. Keith Waddell, CFO at Robert Half International, with $6.88 million in total compensation in 2012.

Total compensation includes base salary; bonuses; non-equity incentive plan payments (which includes performance-based cash payouts); stock awards; stock option awards; and other pay, which can include perquisites such as use of a company plane, insurance premiums or financial planning assistance.
