US – Private Equity Buys Bullhorn

Bullhorn Inc., a provider of staffing industry software, was acquired by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners. Boston-based Bullhorn has 12,000 clients, and reported revenue rose by 40 percent in 2011 while adding 400 new clients.

Bullhorn was founded in 1999. Last year, it ranked on the Inc. 5000 with $23.9 million in 2010 revenue, according to the Inc. website.

Vista Equity Partners’ offices are in San Francisco, Chicago and Austin, Texas. The firm has $6.6 billion in capital. Its other portfolio companies include software providers such as Accruent Inc., a real estate performance management solution.
