The pace of information technology job growth in the U.S. showed modest improvement in July, rising 4,800 from the previous month and bringing total IT jobs to 4.19 million, according to the TechServe Alliance’s IT employment index. The growth set another month of record IT employment.

“While the rate of IT job growth is not quite as robust as it was earlier in the year, July’s numbers are nevertheless encouraging,” said TechServe CEO Mark Roberts. “Based on our data as well as the anecdotal reports of my member companies, demand for IT professionals remains fundamentally strong.
