More than 19,000 online job ads were placed in February for workers who have mobile development skills, up 82 percent year over year, research firm Wanted Analytics reported. The number marks an all-time high for the U.S.

Mobile development requirements are included across all technology occupations, according to Wanted. Software engineers, Web developers, Java developers, project managers and application developers were the most common job titles to include mobile requirements in their ads.

The most in-demand mobile development skills include:

New York recorded the highest demand for mobile developers followed by Seattle; San Jose, Calif.; San Francisco; and Washington.
