US – Command Center CEO resigns

Command Center Inc. (OTCBB: CCNI) announced founder Glenn Welstad resigned as president and CEO to pursue other interests. Welstad also stepped down as a member of the board of directors of the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho-based commercial staffing firm.

Welstad’s resignation is effective immediately but his departure has been planned for some time, the company reported. The board of directors is in the process of selecting a new CEO.

Welstad founded Command Center in 2003 and took the company public in 2005. Welstad is also a founder of Labor Ready, now TrueBlue Inc., according a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission by Command Center. Welstad served as president and CEO at Labor Ready until 2000. Prior to founding Labor Ready, Welstad was a restaurateur and owned a number of Hardees and Village Inn franchises.

Command Center reported revenue of $98.4 million for the 2012 fiscal year.
