UK – Recruitment sector growing as young firms target expansion

05 August 2015

Two recruitment firms based in the north of England, both in their first year of operation, are already planning to expand on the back of rising demand and improving employment conditions, reports bdaily.co.uk.

Hyperion Executive Search, which is based in Liverpool and specialises in the renewable energy sector, has expanded its portfolio of international clients.

David Hunt, founder of Hyperion, commented: “While there continues to be a number of uncertainties surrounding the renewables industry in the UK, there are exciting opportunities to increase our work on international assignments.”

“There has been an upward trend in the amount of international work we are winning during the second half of our first year, and we have a number of significant assignments in the pipeline,” he added.

Similarly, with strong demand for its services, Newcastle-based IT recruitment firm SearchBI has targeted £1 million in sales by the end of next year.

The company specialises in niche IT recruitment; supplying developers, consultants, project managers, business analysts, and sales and account management executives to specialist markets throughout the UK.

Richard Deas, Director of SearchBI, commented: “We are a dedicated consultancy, committed to building long term relationships in the IT recruitment sector where there’s a specific lack of focus in the North East… We are now well placed for expansion and gearing up to double the workforce to meet demand for our services...”
