UK – Recruitment firm named by The Sunday Times as one of the best places to work

Recruitment company Macildowie has been named one of the top 40 small companies to work for in the UK and the best recruitment firm in the East Midlands, according to the Northants Telegraph.

The business, which has an office in Northampton, has been ranked 37th in The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For 2015 awards, and achieved the coveted 3-star “Extraordinary” status for the fourth consecutive time of entering, based on key people factors including staff satisfaction and engagement.

Macildowie recruits across the region and employs 75 people, specialising in HR, Accountancy & finance, procurement, sales and marketing and supply chain recruitment.

It is the highest placed Northamptonshire company to appear in the prestigious list.

One of the key indicators of the survey show that 100% of Macildowie employees believe their managers ‘cared for them as individuals’ and they felt a ‘strong sense of family within their teams.’

Macildowie chief executive James Calder said: “We are delighted to receive a top placing in the Sunday Times Best Companies list again in 2015.

“Macildowie is a great place to work and we are immensely proud of all the people here.

“We have a motivated and positive team who really pull together to achieve fantastic results.”

Macildowie, which counts Boots, Speedo, Travis Perkins and E.ON among its clients, has featured in the list on the three previous occasions it has entered the survey scoring the 3-star “Extraordinary” status – the top accreditation for staff satisfaction – every time.

Macildowie director James Taylor said: “It’s been a record year for us here at Macildowie, as well as filling 1,832 new positions with almost 700 businesses across the region, we have opened a new office in Milton Keynes and hired an additional 21 members of staff.

“None of this would be possible without the highly motivated and engaged team we have working across the Midlands.
