UK – Harvey Nash reports Q1 profit growth

At its’ Annual General Meeting held today, Julie Baddeley, Chairman of UK-based IT staffing firm Harvey Nash (HVN: LSE), announced: “In the first four months of the current financial year to 31 May 2015, overall gross profit was 4% higher than the same period in the previous year (8% on a constant currency basis), and operating profit was 1% higher (9% on a constant currency basis).”

“Sterling remains strong in relation to the Euro and Nordic currencies and this is expected to continue to impact the current year's reported growth rates. Despite this, the Board is encouraged that for the period to 31 May 2015 the Group's trading results were in line with its expectations."    

Earlier this year, Harvey Nash reported revenue for the year ending 31 January 2015 of £696.6 million, an increase of 4% in constant currency compared with the previous year.
