UK – Executive search firm Leathwaite launches Management Consulting service

02 July 2015

Global executive search firm Leathwaite yesterday announced the launch of its Management Consulting service alongside the appointment of Andy Gregson to build and lead this new practice area.

The new Management Consulting solution is being added to Leathwaite’s established suite of services, which include executive search, interim placement, and market intelligence. It is being introduced in response to feedback from clients looking for the consulting methods, insight and global reach more often associated with the large professional services firms, but with more hands-on industry experience and at lower cost.

Andy Gregson, who joins as a partner and Head of Management Consulting, has over 25 years’ operational and change experience gained at top tier financial services institutions. Before joining Leathwaite, Mr Gregson set-up an independent consulting firm and went on to work as a managing and client partner with Anchura Partners. Prior to that, he was a managing director leading the Finance Change function at UBS and he has held similar positions at organisations including RBS and Deutsche Bank.

Andrew Wallace, partner at Leathwaite, said: “Nearly a decade on from the financial crisis, it remains a challenging time for the financial services sector. Our clients are facing intensifying pressure from stronger regulatory intervention, advances in technology, international divergence, low consumer confidence and inconsistent financial returns. They increasingly seek support from trusted partners that is tailored to their needs.”

“We are therefore thrilled to be evolving our business by introducing Management Consulting, and to that end are very pleased to welcome Andy Gregson to lead the new practice. Andy is well recognised for delivering transformational change programmes and building high performing teams and perfectly placed to take this new proposition forward.”

Mr Gregson added: “Leathwaite has an established reputation for an exceptional understanding of its clients and their Financial Services Business Infrastructure organisations, an unrivalled global network of highly qualified infrastructure specialists and a track record of successfully responding to changing client needs.”

“This is an exciting opportunity to build a complementary and unique Management Consulting service, designing packaged solutions and managing project delivery for clients, while leveraging our combined expertise, experience and extensive relationships throughout the industry,” he concluded.
