UK – Cumbrian recruiter awarded nuclear contract

09 July 2014

Recruitment firm NuExec Consulting has been announced as the preferred bidders for the permanent recruit services to the low-level waste repository (LLWR) just south of the Sellafield site in West Cumbria, reports nwemail.co.uk.

No details were provided regarding the contract value or for how many positions the company would recruit.

The site, which has been operating since 1959, stores waste from Sellafield, Ministry of Defence sites, nuclear power stations, hospitals, universities, medical companies, and the oil industry.

Managing Director Emma-Jayne Gooch, who set up NuExec Consulting in 2011 with Lisa Stanger, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been given an opportunity to work in partnership with LLWR. As a small business, we never dreamt that we would be able to work direct with a company of this size and I think this is testament to LLWR’s forward-thinking and embracing attitude to small and medium-sized enterprises.”
