UK – APSCo award winners announced

The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) yesterday announced the winners of its annual awards, which recognise and celebrate achievements in professional recruitment.

Commenting on this year’s awards, Ann Swain, Chief Executive of APSCo said: “As the only awards in the recruitment sector that require all shortlisted businesses to attend a Q&A session with a judging panel, the APSCo Awards for Excellence are the most rigorous, most prestigious, and most coveted awards around.”

“This year, the judges were particularly impressed by the level of innovation demonstrated by many entrants and the increased commitment to Corporate Social Ability that underpinned a sustainable approach to growth,” she added.

The award for Individual Contribution to APSCo, an individual working either for a full of affiliate member company, who has shown outstanding support of the professional recruitment sector through their commitment and dedication to the industry, was presented to Raymond Pennie, Commercial Director of Kamanchi, a provider of IT and support services to the Recruitment Sector.

According to APSCo, until earlier this year, Mr Pennie was an active member of the APSCo Representative Committee championing the interests of affiliate members over two terms in office. He has also run the Technology Leadership Forum and IT Sector group for a number of years, delivering engaging and pertinent agendas for members. Mr Pennie has also provided the trade association with invaluable and pragmatic technical advice, helping it to deliver the services its members need, truly earning this recognition.
