U.S. service sector slows further

Economic activity in the U.S. service sector in November decreased at a quicker rate than in October, according to the Institute for Supply Management. Its nonmanufacturing index fell to a reading of 37.3 in November from 44.4 in October. Readings above 50 indicate expansion.
