Revenue in the U.S. employment services industry rose 5.9% in the fourth quarter of 2007 compared with the third quarter, the U.S. Census Bureau reported today. The sector had $46.68 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter, according to a preliminary estimate by the government. That compares to a revised revenue estimate of $44.07 billion for the third quarter.

Comparing the fourth quarter of 2007 with the fourth quarter of 2006, revenue rose 4.6%, according to the Census Bureau.
