U.S. average hourly earnings up year over year

Average hourly earnings rose to $19.04 in July from $18.62 in June 2009 for private sector production employees and nonsupervisory employees in service-providing industries, according to The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. On a month-over-month basis, July 2010 earnings were unchanged.
The average hourly earnings for all employees on private, nonfarm payroll was $22.59 in July, up from $22.20 in the same month a year ago. Average hourly earnings for this group remained the same in June at $22.55 from May 2010.

Average hourly earnings include both full-time and part-time jobs.
