TriNet names new CEO

May 15, 2008

TriNet, a San Leandro CA-based professional employer organization, named Burton Goldfield as its new president and CEO. Goldfield takes over from Martin Babinec, who had served as president and CEO since the company's founding 20 years ago. Babinec will continue as TriNet's chairman.

Goldfield comes to TriNet from Ketera Technologies Inc., a Santa Clara CA-based software firm, where he was CEO.

"The HR outsourcing industry has matured over the last several years and it is primed for substantial growth," said Dave Hodgson, managing director at private equity firm General Atlantic, TriNet's majority stakeholder. "Burton has the experience and the vision to ensure that TriNet takes advantage of every opportunity that presents itself."
